Congratulations Dan Whyel, President's Circle Award 2022 Employee of the Year
Trib Total Media is proud to honor Dan Whyel as the 2022 President's Circle Award Employee of the Year.
"I could not be happier to recognize Dan Whyel as the company's first President's Circle Awards Employee of the Year," said Jennifer Bertetto, President & CEO. "During the security incident that we experienced in the summer of 2022, Dan truly shined. He has set a high standard for Employee of the Year."
Dan Whyel, Creative Services Paginator, has been with Trib Total Media since 2008. Dan's main focus includes Classified pagination and Layout coordination for our Dailies, Monthlies, Weeklies, and some special sections such as Trib Total Savings. In between layouts, he also helps the Art Department with creating ads, email blasts, and optimizing a few Google SEM accounts.
"Dan wants to get involved in as many things as he can," said Tim Otto, Ad Services Manager. "He paginates the Classifieds sections for multiple publications each day, assists with ROP layouts, and took it upon himself to become Google certified so that he can also build out emails and other digital campaigns."
When our systems were down in July and August of 2022, Dan truly took ownership of the Classifieds sections and did what he could to make sure that all ads would publish as scheduled.
Spreadsheets were created daily listing all of the ads that needed to be placed. Without access to our systems, those ads had to be placed manually. Dan stepped up to the plate.
"I remember him telling me for the August 4th weeklies, there were over 800 classifieds ads," said Tammy Painter.
During this highly stressful time, Dan maintained a positive attitude and a level head. He was in near-constant communication with the sales staff yet he never wavered in his show of respect and appreciation.
For his efforts, Dan received an unprecedented 13 nominations for Q3 Employee of the Quarter and the title of Employee of the Year for 2022.
"He is our superhero," said Debbie Hamer.
"When our systems crashed, he went BEYOND above and beyond," said Diana Roberts.
"His positive attitude and unwavering helpfulness during a very difficult time is commendable," said Jessica Jones.
"[Dan] is always willing to help out, step up and does it with a smile," said Joann Callahan.
"He is a definite asset to this company in every way," said Mary Jo Stangroom.
Congratulations, Dan Whyel, 2022 President's Circle Awards Employee of the Year.
